One thing I haven't tested - what happens to Dropbox in the cloud if I rewind my Dropbox folder with TM and then sync Dropbox.? I do not want to risk that before I have researched a bit first. Just now I checked my Time Machine and all the files new to Dropbox today were there - both one and two hours past. When I started my Mac, Dropbox started sync.
This morning, at work and from my employer's PC, I added several new files to my Dropbox to work further with at home. Be sure to check that your file changes are being stored. It just appears to be a static version of when I started time machine. Yes, Time Machine did initially backup the dropbox folder, but I am not seeing new changes or new files appearing in the regular backup.
